A. Function

• Menyatakan Kebiasaan (habit).

                  Contoh: I go to school everyday.
                                He always take exercise every Sunday Morning. 
                                She gets up every day at five o'clock. 

• Menyatakan Kenyataan/Fakta (Fact).

                  Contoh: The sun rises in the east.
                                A week has seven days.
                                Sugar is sweet and ice is cold.

• Pada kalimat seru yang dimulai dengan kata here dan there.             

                  Contoh: Here comes the train !
                                There goes the bell !
                                There are many things to be   done !

• Menjelaskan suatu tindakan yang dilakukan di masa mendatang yang merupakan bagian dari rencana.            

                  Contoh: He goes to Jakarta next week.
                                My elder brother leaves for Yogya by the next bus.
                                When does the supermarket reopen ?

Kalimat Nominal:

       (+)    He is in the office.

       (−)    He is not in the office.
